For how long?
Until someone else pays more than you. It could be a day, week or even several months. However, you are guarenteed to have ad here at least for 24h.
When someone pays more, your big ad is removed from the home page and your link is added to the Hall of fame and below in the list of last 5 ads. If you get ad for free it can't go in the hall of fame.
